Welcome to the Crunchwork Builders Solution November Release!

This page provides a high-level overview of all functionality delivered in the September Release. Highlights include better visibility over job finances, flexibility on margin/mark up terminology and new workflows.

Updates to the Job Cost Summary

We have updated this so that the total value of invoices is correctly tracked on the Job Finance Overview so that users can keep track of the total invoice amount.

The ‘Invoice summary’ on the Job Finance Overview has been updated to include invoices in a ‘Paid' status as well as ‘Sent’.

The invoiced value to date is based only on invoices in a status of ‘sent’.

The hover-over tool tips display how these values are calculated:

→ Invoice Value to Date: Sum of invoices ‘Sent’ and ‘Paid’ excluding GST.

→ Invoice Value Remaining: Sum of the approved quote value, less sum of invoices sent and paid excluding GST.

Purchase Order Summary Default View

More feedback told us that the donut chart is the preferred default view when looking at the project budget.

When the project finance component is enabled, the ‘total project budget’ donut, and table design on the overview page will appear.

Automation of Email Subject Lines

We've been listening to your feedback and now email subject lines will automatically display information conditionally, making your day-to-day admin that much easier.

How does it work?

When the claim number, loss adjuster reference, strata number, and/or commercial corp fields are filled on a job, then emails for that job will include these in the subject line. If one of these fields is empty, then we will skip it.

[CLAIM NUMBER] - [LOSS ADJUSTER REFERENCE]

[CLAIM NUMBER] - [STRATA NUMBER] - [COMMERCIAL CORP]

[CLAIM NUMBER] - [COMMERCIAL CORP]

[CLAIM NUMBER] - [STRATA NUMBER]

When the claim number isn't present (like for a Private Job) then the job reference and address will be used instead.

Want something else? Ask us to configure it! We can now configure your email subject lines to whatever spec you want.

Calendar Appointments & Invites

Appointments now send an iCal attachment, so that the user can upload the appointment into their own calendar app.

This will ensure your team is up to date with all activities, and there is no tasks that fall through the cracks.

Margin/Markup Improvements

We have removed 'Margin Total' from the top of the totals box in quotes and invoices.

In the Quote total boxes, we removed 'Margin Total' from in between the Sub Total and GST, this will now be reflected under the new collapsible 'Show Margin/Markup' section.

Updated calculations and descriptions for quotes and invoices

We've also updated the calculations and descriptions of markup/margin on your quotes and invoices.

Hover your mouse over these boxes to display the new text for net markup/margin:

→ Sum of the Markup/Margin excluding GST divided by the Sum of the Unit Cost value excluding markup/margin and GST.

The gross margin has now been updated to read:

→ ‘Gross Profit’ value (under Show Margin), then the tooltip reads: Sum of the Markup/Margin calculated from the Quote Unit Cost (or Buy Cost of a relevant catalogue item if selected) excluding GST divided by the Sub Total including markup/margin and excluding GST

Detailed Invoiced PDF Updates

We have added a new functionality to invoices PDF configuration, including additional notes, images and margin

This has been done so you can configure invoice PDFs to include or exclude additional values such as notes, images and margin, so that users can easily produce invoices for many scenarios.

Given an invoice, when the user opens the ‘Configuration’ tab, then there are additional radio buttons made available:

  • Show Notes

  • Show Images

  • Show Markup/Margin $$

  • Show Markup/Margin %

Minor Fixes and Improvements

We have removed the 'updated at' and 'updated by' columns in Report Writer, so the full address is no longer visibly squished

Given a Quote, if a user drags a line item from one group to another, the line item is now moved and no longer duplicated

We have updated the CBS template with new descriptors for Grand total for the following templates:

  • Quote

  • Variation Quote

  • Negative Variation

  • Liability
