Reassign a single task
Firstly, we need to find the task we want to reassign. This can be done by going to the either the dashboards area and looking for task-based dashlets or the activities tab within a project or job.
Above, an example of a task based dashlet. Depending on your permission level, you may have other dashboards you can select from in the top right corner.
Above, an example of the activities area where you can see all tasks for all users for the specific project or job.
Once you've found the desired task, simply click the edit button on the right hand side of the table. This will open up the edit view of the task in a popup.
To reassign a task, look for the internal assignee dropdown (highlighted in yellow above) and open this to select the user you wish to reassign the task to. Select the user and hit the save button in the top right-hand corner of the popup.
Reassign tasks for a specific job or project
Tasks created by a workflow are assigned to a role within a project or job. By changing the user assigned to the role, you can move all pending and future tasks from one user to another.
Above, you can see how changing the user assigned to a role moves all pending tasks from the currently assigned user to the newly assigned user.
All future tasks assigned to this role for that project or job will now go to the newly assigned user.
Bulk reassign tasks for multiple projects and jobs
This bulk reassigns feature is useful when someone goes on leave or is away for an extended period.
Within the pulse search screen, you can search and filter based on the criteria you are after and use the checkbox on the left-hand side of each item to select it.
Once you've selected your desired projects or jobs, you click the edit button on the far right-hand side and select 'Assign Team Members' from the drop-down.
This allows you to assign individual users to the roles for each one of the selected items which will move all currently pending and future tasks from the currently assigned user to the newly assigned one.
