Our Zones module lets you group multiple postcodes and assign them to vendors, line items and more. For companies that have a wide geographical reach, Zones is the perfect solution for managing the quality and accuracy of quotes and resource allocation.

Creating a new Zone

To create a new zone, use the panel on the left-hand side of the screen to select "Create Zone".

You'll be asked to provide a name and postcodes.

Zone Code: A zone code is an additional code that is added the Pulse reference number of Projects and Jobs, whenever the zone is assigned to it.

  • For example: A Queensland Metro zone may use the code 'QM', so that users can see via the reference number where a job is located.

Tips for Adding Postcodes

You can add multiple postcodes in this field by using the "Enter" button on your keyboard, then selecting the "Add button."

If you have a .csv file or excel file with your postcodes in a single column, you may also copy the entire column, then paste into the "Postcodes to Add" field.

Assigning Accounts

Use the "Assign" button on the right-hand side of your page.

You can search for Accounts, or scroll through the list.

To select the accounts, click on the 'plus' icon.

You may add multiple accounts to each zone as necessary.

  • To remove the account once selected, click on the 'minus' icon.

Once selected, the Account will now show in the 'Assigned Accounts' list.

By assigning an account to a zone, you can have greater control over which regions are accessible for each client. When creating a Pulse project, it is necessary to associate an account with it. Pulse will then use the project address to locate a zone that is compatible with the associated account.

Don't forget to hit 'Create' once you are finished - it's in the top right-hand corner of your page.

Zone Allocation Priority

This has been implemented so that Pulse knows which zone to pick in the event there are multiple sharing the same postcodes. Users will notice a new field labelled 'Priority'.

So, if two zones are created that have the same postcode and account, Crunchwork uses the zone with the highest priority when applying it to Projects. This is so that Pulse knows which zone to pick in the event there are multiple accounts sharing the same postcodes.

Note that other zones with lower priority are still available for selection in the Zones dropdown in Pulse, Quotes, etc. - they’re just not automatically selected.

The zone priority ranges from 100 through to -100.

Note that applying a zone with -100 will mean the zone will not be picked up any more even if there is no zone matched other than those zones.

Editing a Zone

To edit a zone, you can either use the panel on the left-hand side of the screen to search for a specific zone, or you can scroll through the zone list on the right-hand side.

Once you have located the zone you wish to edit, click on the Pencil Icon, under 'Actions'.

This will open the specific zone details - you can then proceed to edit any of the fields.

Once you have made your changes, don't forget to hit "Save" - it's in the top right-hand corner of your page.

Disabling a Zone

Should you need a Zone to be disabled, please contact the Coda Support Team, and they can assist in completing this.
