It's no secret that the scope might need to change by the time the repairs get under way, so that's why we've given you the ability to create variation quotes in Crunchwork. Read on to learn the best practice for creating a variation from a regular quote.

  1. Take the original quote, click "Create" then "New Revision". This creates a new record of your quote, retaining all related claim information and also the original line items, but allows you to edit.

  2. Use the drop-down option on the left hand side to change the Quote Type from "Quote" to "Variation".

  3. Make your changes as necessary. Don't forget, you can use the "Attachments & Notes" section to add supplementary notes and images to support your variation.

  4. Publish your quote now as needed.

  5. When generating a PDF copy of this quote, use the "Create" button and choose "Variation PDF" to ensure that you are providing your client with the relevant PDF template.
