You never know what you may uncover halfway through a repair job, so we've given you the ability to apply negative values on your line items to support negative variations.
What's a negative variation?
Under a construction contract, the principal will have the ability to order a variation to the scope of works. However, variations aren’t limited to increasing or adjusting the scope of works. In the event the principal wants to reduce the scope of works and subsequently the value of the contract, this will amount to a negative variation of the contract.
How do I handle it in Crunchwork?
We suggest that you create a new quote directly from the relevant job, ensuring that you select "Variation" in the "Quote Type" field.
You may place a negative value against the unit cost field, which will subsequently alter the overall price of the quote.
